Android build 2021.824.97 is the first public Android 11-based version of the Surface Duo software. It was released for the developer emulator on 23 September 2021.[1]

Sample apps[edit | edit source]

As this is a developer emulator build, it features a number of sample apps, all of which are open source:

  • Foldable App Samples by Surface Duo - contains examples using the Surface Duo SDK.
    • Intent To Second Screen - part of Foldable App Samples that has it's own app icon.
  • TwoNote - basic note taking app.
  • Source Editor - HTML editor. When extended to both screens the left screen shows the source code, while the right screen shows a preview.
  • Photo Editor - basic photo editor.
  • Widget - RSS widget.
  • Webboard - a drawing application, built as an Edge PWA.
