New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • The "Task List" entry in the Ctrl+Alt+Del security options has been renamed to "Task Manager".
  • This is the first Windows NT build to include Internet Explorer 2 pre-installed.
  • The winnt and winnt256 bitmaps were updated to have Beta 2 branding.
  • The "Dial-Up Networking" desktop shortcut has been removed.
  • Introduced the option to install Microsoft Internet Information Server.
