3. Install all of the previously-released updates for Windows 8.1? this includes:
   • Rollup A (KB2883200)
   • Rollup B (KB2884846)
   • November Rollup (KB2887595)
   • December Rollup (KB2903939)
   • January Rollup (KB2911106)
   Restart your PC. 

4. Install Windows8.1-KB2919442-<architecture>.msu update, where <architecture> is x86, x64, by double-clicking on the file. 
   This is required to install before you install the Windows 8.1 Update 2014 MSU update!
   Restart your PC. You must restart the PC to complete any pending update actions.

5. Install the Windows 8.1 Update MSU file, Windows8.1-KB2919355-<architecture>.msu(where    <architecture> is x86, x64) to the by double-clicking on the file. 
   The update will be applied for all available languages installed in the Windows 8.1.
6. Restart your PC. You must restart the PC to complete any pending update actions.

Navigation[edit | edit source]

"Go to the desktop instead of Start when I sign in" and "Show Store apps on the taskbar" are now enabled by default for non-touch devices.

Start[edit | edit source]

  • The power and search buttons have swapped places.
    • With this change, the power button is no longer visible on the Apps list.
  • The default Start screen layout has been updated once again.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

  • SkyDrive has been renamed to OneDrive.
  • The Display applet in Control Panel now has options for 200% and 250% DPI scaling.
  • The copyright year in winver has been reverted to 2013. This would persist up to Windows 10 build 9785.
  • As this build belongs to a release branch, the "Microsoft Confidential" leak warning has been removed from the watermark and winver.
