Windows for Workgroups 3.11 build 300 is a Release Candidate build of Windows for Workgroups 3.11 that was recompiled several times. This build is the earlier compile from 13 October 1993 that was scene leaked by the warez group High Voltage, who also leaked the later recompile from 21 October 1993. The group replaced the VGA bootscreen (VGALOGO.RLE
) of this build with a heavily edited one that features their name. The warez copy was later replaced by an original dump with an untouched bootscreen.
This recompile was often refered to as "build 409" in the past, due to the highest version number 3.11.409 found in some files. This has since been proven to be inaccurate.
