Windows 3.0A is a Japanese version of Windows 3.0, which was released for the Fujitsu FM Towns, NEC PC-98xx and Toshiba J3100 series computers in 1991. A screenshot of the about dialog was shown on WinHistory.de.[1] Later, on 25 September 2020, the PC-98 variant of this build was available on Yahoo! Auctions,[2] however, the bidding for this item ended four days later, on 29 September 2020. The Chinese website BetaWorld has shared some screenshots of the FM Towns variant of this build running in the MESS emulator on 11 February 2021.[3] At the same time, the Japanese website Nanshiki.co.jp also shared screenshots of the J3100 variant of this build running in DOSVAX (a derivative of DOSBox) on 12 February 2021.[4]

A picture of a disc containing this build for PC (alongside Traditional Chinese Windows 3.0, Korean Windows 3.01, SDKs and DDKs, and a Korean DOS 5.0 boot floppy image) was first provided by ReflectiaX on 18 December 2020. On 21 April 2021, he shared the contents of the disc, as a compressed folder dump.[5]
