Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
Support for web search providers in Windows Search has been improved, including with increased discoverability. This change is gradually rolled out to users in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue where the Snap bar at the top of the screen was unexpectedly showing corners on the side closest to the screen.
- Fixed a high hitting
ctfmon.exe
crash impacting the ability to type. - Fixed an underlying issue that was causing the Settings app to crash when adding a color profile under System → Display.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Settings app to crash after using it to sign into a Microsoft account.
- Fixed an issue in the Japanese language where the name displayed at the top of the Accounts page in the Settings app showed western name order ("given name(s), family name") instead of eastern name order ("family name, given name").
- Fixed an issue that was causing the
PDC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
bugcheck when resuming from sleep. - Fixed an issue with
windows.storage.dll
where trying to open files from an app could lead to the app crashing.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
Performing a system reset under System → Recovery in the Settings app may cause the KB5037898 enablement update to be uninstalled unexpectedly, consequently reverting major build number to 26100.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
Users may experience serious lag when closing File Explorer using the X button, or clicking on other title bar buttons.
Recall[edit | edit source]
- Recall may be unable to automatically save snapshots, and the setting may not be turned on in the Settings page.
- On a device that was managed by an IT administrator (signed in with a Microsoft Entra ID), Recall snapshots may get deleted after installing this build and then continue to get deleted when rebooting. To workaround this issue, enable the "Allow Recall to be enabled" group policy, and then disable the "Turn off saving snapshots for use with Recall" group policy (under Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Windows AI) before installing this update.
Task Manager[edit | edit source]
The following issues are applicable if the standard metrics for CPU utility calculations (gradually rolled out in build 26120.3360) is enabled:
- The
System Idle Process
may always show as 0 after adding the new CPU utility column. - The CPU graphs in the Performance page may still using the old CPU utility calculations.
