Windows 11 build 26120.3281 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Beta and Dev Channels on 14 February 2025 as the KB5037898 enablement update to build 26100.3281 (KB5052086), along with build 22635.4945. This build was distributed as a checkpoint cumulative update that contains incremental changes since build 26100.1742.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]
The account-based content under Recent, Favorites, Details pane, and the Recommended section in the Home page has been disabled for Entra IDs in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Settings[edit | edit source]
The Home page on managed commercial devices with Education, Enterprise and IoT Enterprise SKUs, previously implemented in build 26120.2200 and rolled out in build 26120.3073, has been temporarily disabled by default due to some issues. It still can be activated manually by enabling the 53281237

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue where if DeviceLock password policies were configured, signing in with a Guest account using Shared PC would fail.
Shell[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue where resetting password from the login screen won't work due to an underlying crash.
- Fixed an issue when using multiple monitors, where the distance between the date and time and edge of the screen wasn't consistent.
- Fixed an issue where when using a non-default mouse color (enabled in Accessibility → Mouse pointer and touch in the Settings app), it may unexpectedly revert back to white when encountering a UAC dialog.

Fixed an issue causing the ellipsis menu in the command bar to open in the wrong direction for some resolutions.
Settings[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue that causing the Settings app to crash on launch in certain cases.
Task Manager[edit | edit source]
Fixed the issue that was causing unexpectedly high DCOM CPU usage after opening the Performance section.
Windows Search (LSI)[edit | edit source]
- Fixed the issue that was causing AI sparkle and underline animation to not present in the File Explorer and taskbar's search box.
- Fixed the issue that was causing the search box on the taskbar to not have the same underline and sparkles icon UI that the File Explorer search box has.
- Fixed the issue that was causing LSI for Windows Search to not be available in certain cases.
- Fixed the issue that was causing File explorer search to be unresponsive in certain cases.
- Fixed the issue where the tip about the new search improvements would appear whenever the focus is set to File Explorer's search box, rather than only once.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
Performing a system reset under System → Recovery in the Settings app may cause the KB5037898 enablement update to be uninstalled unexpectedly, consequently reverting major build number to 26100.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
Users may experience serious lag when closing File Explorer using the X button, or clicking on other title bar buttons.
Recall[edit | edit source]
- Recall may unable to automatically save snapshots, and the setting may not be turned on in the Settings page.
- Clicking links within Recall to submit feedback may experience a delay in loading the Feedback Hub app.
- The message "Make sure Recall is saving snapshots" may unexpectedly show while the Settings page for Recall shows saving snapshots is enabled.
- Recall may not currently work with some accessibility applications.

The colors in the new battery icon may not display correctly when the color mode under Personalization → Colors is set to certain options with Custom.
Accessibility[edit | edit source]
- Live captions may crash on launch for the first time.
- Switching languages may crash live captions if audio is playing or the microphone is enabled.
