Windows 10 build 18277.1000 is the twelfth Insider Preview build of Windows 10 May 2019 Update. This build was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 7 November 2018.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Added a new Focus Assist option to automatically turn on said feature when in a full-screen app or game.
- Made the brightness quick action a slider instead of a button.
- The quick actions can now be customized and re-arranged from the Action Center itself instead of having to go to the Settings app and doing it from there.
- Added some emoji from Emoji 12.
- Windows now automatically fixes blurry apps on high-DPI displays.
- Users can now manage access to the camera and microphone in Windows Defender Application Guard.
- Some improvements to the Japanese IME were made, including visual improvements to the candidate window, and as well as adding indexes to each text prediction candidate. The Japanese IME settings were fully integrated to the Settings app.
- Improvements to the Storage page in Settings. It now includes an interactive list of how the computer's storage is used.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- Sometimes the update status can cycle between Getting Things Ready, Downloading, and Installing. It is often accompanied by error 0x8024200d, which is caused by a failed express package download.
- PDF files opened in Microsoft Edge may not display correctly (e.g. small, instead of using the entire space)
- If the PC is set up to dual boot, you may encounter a blue screen of death.
- The Settings app will crash after changing your account's password or PIN, if you want to change your password or PIN, use the Ctrl+Alt+Del method to change the password.
- Due to a merge conflict, the settings for enabling/disabling Dynamic Lock are missing from the sign-in settings.
