SUSE Linux 10.1

SUSE Linux 10.1 is a version of openSUSE, released on 11 May 2006. It was codenamed "Agama Lizard". It shipped with Linux kernel 2.6.16.13, GNOME 2.12.0.1 and KDE 3.5.1. It is the last version to use the "SUSE Linux" branding before renaming to openSUSE in the alpha stages of openSUSE 10.2.

Beta 8[edit | edit source]

A Beta 8 version of this release, released on 15 March 2006, shipped with a 2.6.16 RC6 version of the Linux kernel, GNOME 2.12.2 and KDE 3.5.1. It does not include a welcome animation when the user boot to CD. The logo and boot bar in the boot screen has different alignments and the background is much different then the official release.

Beta 9[edit | edit source]

A Beta 9 version was released on 31 March 2006. The official boot screen is used in this version.
