The "Help" Program is always included since early Microsoft products. It's an application for getting help of Windows and MS-DOS in early days. On Windows, you can also search for help on the app itself by writing on the search bar.

In DOS Days[edit]

Help firstly started with a basic command on MS-DOS that shows the commands list and how to use them with parameters.

Windows Days[edit]

Even in Windows days, the help program always continued to exist, now being called Help and Support. Microsoft also has an online site of Microsoft Help.

How to find it?[edit]

On Windows 7 and Vista, it's a Start Menu Link. On Windows 8.1, you can find it by Search by typing "Help and Support"

Or you can press F1 in both three OS'es, but sometimes it relates to the application's help itself.

Onilne Help[edit]

You can even get online help from Microsoft by the site "https://support.microsoft.com"

Help Index[edit]

Both Vista, 7 and 8.1 has a search index. You can find it on a book icon with 7 and Vista, On Windows 8.1, you can find the index on "Getting Started" page.
