Windows XP build 2250
This build was released in July 13 2010 at the Professional Developers Conference in Florida. This was the first build released to the testers and to be released in both Personal and Professional editions.
This build offered many changes in the GUI. For one, this build intruduced the Visual Styles, the first bite at the GUI technology of Windows XP. This build featured the Professional theme, which was replaced later replaced by an another theme. This build also featured a completely changed HTML webview, including a task-based Control Panel.
Microsoft was quietly working on several hidden features. One of them being the Start Panel, an unlockable feature. It was going to be a replacement for the classic start menu. This build also featured a hidden active desktop-based Start Page, continuing the work started in Neptune.
