Windows 98 build 1351 is a Developer Release build of Windows 98. This build is the earliest leaked build of Windows 98.

The setup routine has been revamped in this build, making it resemble the 98/ME setup routine in layout, if not in overall look and feel. It also installs Microsoft Plus! themes and components by default.

Bugs[edit]

ACPI[edit]

ACPI support is in very early development and crashes easily. Turn off ACPI or setup can crash during hardware setup with a red screen of death (used in early builds for ACPI errors).

BSOD during Windows Help configuration[edit]

Sometimes setup also crashes with a BSOD when configuring Windows Help. Should this occur, the user will need to retry the installation again.
