Windows 3.15 is a fake version of Microsoft Windows, claimed to be "an update of 3.1 to test taskbar functionality".[1] It was probably inspired by NewShell, an optional update for NT 3.51 that backported the new Explorer shell from Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0. No such release existed for Windows 3.1, though. Neither does version “3.15” exist.
