Windows XP build 2416 is a pre-Beta 2 build of Windows XP, which was released to testers on 16 January 2001. and later scene leaked on 1 May 2001.

Changes from build 2410
*Outlook Express has been updated to version 6.0.
*The OOBE has been updated to a style remisicent of the Luna theme. It will also now run after a clean installation, providing the user the option to add accounts if they are sharing the computer with others.
*This build contains the new Windows Logo testing driver verification.
*Many new icons have been added into this build. These icons were designed by Iconfactory for Microsoft. Most of these icons persisted into the RTM build, with other icons being refined later.
*MSN Zone.com Internet Games from Windows Me have been added, although they are stored on the ISO in build 2410.
*The icon of Windows Media Player has been slightly updated to include a gradient in the play (▶️) symbol.
*An application named Phoenix is added in this build, but it is not listed in the Start menu. It can be launched by going to
C:\Program Files\Windows NT
and launching
rtcclnt.exe
.
*The MSN Explorer icon has been removed, although it is still present in the Quick Launch bar.
*Unlike build 2410, a product key is not required.
*The "File a bug report" and "Run in Compatibility Mode" icons have been changed.
*"Windows Keyring" has been removed from Control Panel.

Bugs and quirks
*Merlin no longer talks in the OOBE after a clean install since Lernout and Hauspie TruVoice TTS is missing from this build. He does speak when this build is upgraded from a build which has this tool.
*Task Manager in this build has visual glitches if visual styles are used.
*When switching users off of a used account and logging into another used user and logging off and going back to the first user, the mouse may not work.

Installation
On some machines and virtualizers, attempting to install this build onto a FAT/FAT32-formatted partition will result in setup declaring it as corrupted and refusing to install. If this happens, only an NTFS-formatted partition will work unless the partition is formatted outside setup.

Sample Test Visual Style
*The Blue Lagoon variant identifies itself as the Chartreuse Mongoose variant.
*The Sample Test Visual Style is slightly buggy though and has rendering problems with some applications like Solitaire.
Windows Server 2012 build 7850 is a build of Windows Server 2012, which was uploaded to BetaArchive on 17 January 2015. Due to its earliness, this build still uses Windows Server 2008 R2 branding in many areas and still uses kernel version 6.1.

This is the latest available build to use the Windows Classic theme by default, and it is more functional here than in its client counterpart (until Aero theme is applied).
just extract the img from bin and extract (mount and copy, or just mount) with Disk Copy is ok. Disk Copy is available only with OS8+ Disc, so you might need to use a ppc emulator for extraction (not installation).
:Thanks for the help for this build in particular. When trying to do it manually, it apparently reports an end-of-file error in Mac OS 9, which is why Mac OS 7 is detecting the image as corrupted. Greetings.

I noted that you have uploaded many mac related screenshots, while it is very helpful, I also noted that in the guidelines it shows 1024x768 as the preferred resolution while yours are just 800x600. I remembered that when I installed some builds in emulators earlier, the resolution can be set to 1024x768.
System 7 (also referred to as Mac OS 7) is an operating system by Apple, released for the 68k and PowerPC Macintosh platform on 13 May 1991. This version is a revolutionary update for Mac OS, and was the first version to support the PowerPC architecture. It also overhauled the interface to support color, although monochrome support was still available for older computers. The first line computers that used the PowerPC were the ones with the Motorola 68k CPUs.

With version 7.6, released in early 1997, System 7 was renamed to Mac OS 7.
Windows XP build 2276 is a build of Windows XP, which was uploaded online in late October 2000.

New features and changes
*Setup has received major updates for the run-up to the official Beta 1. It includes a blue Watercolor design instead of the Windows Me design from build 2250 to build 2267.
*Windows Media Player has been updated to version 7, as with Windows Me.
*Internet Explorer has been updated to a beta version of Internet Explorer 6. However, the version branding still labels Internet Explorer 5.6.
*The "About Program" banners have been slightly updated to have the Windows logo be more fluent in appearance. The login screensaver also shows the SKU of the build.
*The start button has also been updated, resembling the old Windows 2000 design instead of the one from build 2257 and build 2267.
*This build is the first to have the new Help and Support Center fully replace the classic Help, which would eventually remain in the RTM albeit redesigned. Alongside, compatibility mode debuts in this build; but instead of being a setting in the properties of an application, it is a launcher from Help and Support Center.
*This is the first build to no longer launch the Network Identification Wizard after a clean install.
*Category View for Control Panel has been revamped and Control Panel includes a new Text to Speech applet.
*The OOBE now includes a mouse tutorial for new users.
*This is the first build to include the "Windows Whistler" animation at the start of the OOBE. Althrough the intro animation is now a video file, in Windows Me, it is a Flash-based animation file.
*The "Personal Start Menu" name has been changed to "Simple Start Menu".
*The logged-in user's name is shown on the Start menu. The shutdown and logoff buttons are fixed when the theme is set to Professional.

Bugs
Installation
This build cannot be installed via booting from the installation media due to a bugcheck. To install this build, use a MS-DOS/Windows 9x boot disk, partition and format the drive and then run
WINNT.EXE
from the installation media.
Windows NT 4.0 (codenamed Shell Update Release) is a major release of Windows NT, the successor to Windows NT 3.51, released a year prior, and the first version of Windows NT to feature the Windows Explorer interface introduced in Windows 95. It is the last version of Windows NT to include NT in its product name. It is also the final version of Windows which supports the Alpha, MIPS, and PowerPC architectures; its successor, Windows 2000 does not support these architectures.

The Windows Desktop Update further enhances the shell by incorporating features from Windows 98, which requires installing Internet Explorer 4.

Editions
There are several editions of Windows NT 4.0:

* Workstation
* Server
** Server, Enterprise Edition
** Server, Terminal Server Edition
* Embedded

Service Packs
There were 6 service packs released for Windows NT 4.0. Only Service Pack 1 was made available for the MIPS architecture, and Service Pack 2 was the final release for the PowerPC architecture. The last had been pulled by Microsoft due to a severe bug, which results in the revised Service Pack 6a. There was a 7th Service Pack planned, but it was canceled and an Update Rollup was released instead in 2001.

System requirements
The x86 version of Windows NT 4.0 requires a 486 processor, at least 16 MB of RAM, 110 MB of hard drive space (varies depending on components being installed), and a VGA or better display. Windows NT 4.0 drops support for the 80386 processor. Windows NT 4.0 allows installation to be possible without a floppy drive via CD-ROM media, although a floppy drive is required if one wants to make an Emergency Repair Disk or if not booting directly from the CD.

Hardware compatibility
Earlier versions of Windows NT 4.0 does not support processors with a CPUID higher than 3. Windows NT 4.0 will crash during setup or boot if run without limiting the CPUID to less than 3. Service Pack 6 fixes this kernel issue.

Product Team credits Easter egg
Windows NT 4.0 contains the Product Team credits Easter egg from Windows 95. Like in Windows 95, it is implemented in
SHELL32.DLL
, and the steps to show it are much the same as in Windows 95; create a new folder and renaming it to each of the following names in order:
* and now, the moment you've all been waiting for
* we proudly present for your viewing pleasure
* The Microsoft Windows NT Product Team!

The only main difference from the one in Windows 95 is that any references to "95" are replaced with "NT".

The text is in
SHELL32.DLL
's resource
BIN
and XORed with
0x95
as an obfuscation measure. For similar reasons, the Easter egg folder names are stored in the
.text
section of
SHELL32.DLL
as custom hashes of the old folder name concatenated with the new folder name. This was implemented by build 1175 and there shows the "SUR Shell Team" and "SUR Shell Test Team"; at some point after that the text was replaced by a message informing that "you won't find the credits here".

Clarification
OK, I think I have to explain a little bit about this one. I'm the one who took the screenshots and I have no idea how and why it could have came here. But anyway, I'd tell you a bit about it.

Before we begin, I think that it would be better if I can put the files there, so.. here is the source, plus DL Link is here Before spending a heck long time to download it, let me say sth about it...

This is not KB3081436. I checked the MSU file earlier and the UBR (coreos-revision) is not 16425. The only reason you are getting the build number when googling is because of the cumulative nature of the updates. In short, this KB contains files with version 10240.16425, but not the build number. On the other hand, this build as I put above is not cumulative, that means every (or most of? I don't check nor I have such time to do so) file carries build number 10240.16425. I don't know if it's a beta or just.. post-rtm, but surely not KB3081436.

The rest of how you could clarify this build is totally up to you guys, I simply don't know - I don't see a similar case before.

What I want to say below is not related to this build's authenticity directly, but somehow managed to connect to the topic, you can safely exit the page, but it would be great if you can continue reading.

The reason stated in the QD is simple - it's a cumulative build, so delete it. I agree with that reason actually, but speaking cumulative builds, I naturally found a couple of them still on this site, and that's 1904x.xxx( or xxxx) and 22000.xxx. So that makes me confused if a build is deleted only because of being a update build when others are presenting here without a single objection - I don't see any QD or AfD concerning them. I did read the guidelines but I don't really found something to deal with this situation. And really I cannot make an AfD simply because of language issues - I cannot describe it clearly (even now). I think, that may I request if anyone can look into this issue? Windows 10 Build 19041(2, 3, 4) and Windows 11 build 22000 are not special and unique. If their CUs after GA can be kept, then what about 18363, and even 10240 (heck it is still supported)? I couldn't find a reason here.

Thanks for anyone's attention anyway, and maybe your download is finished now? Then just check it out.

Regards,
just extract the img from bin and extract (mount and copy, or just mount) with Disk Copy is ok. Disk Copy is available only with OS8+ Disc, so you might need to use a ppc emulator for extraction (not installation).
System 7 (also referred to as Mac OS 7) is an operating system by Apple, released for the 68k and PowerPC Macintosh platform on 13 May 1991. This version was a revolutionary update for Mac OS, and was the first version to support the PowerPC architecture. It also overhauled the interface to support color, although monochrome support was still available for older computers.

With version 7.6, released in early 1997, System 7 was renamed as Mac OS 7.
